its a great game ty for putting it on newgrounds!! :D

Wanted to go over somethings in a review on Pixel Purge that need to be addressed.
I want to clarify some things because I don't think you truly understand what he was saying.

Original Review

Hmm, the game itself was very addictive and fun to play, but there are just some things that decrease its quallity greatly...
First of all - what's the point of the plot? It's not original in any means, and it has absolutely no purpose, except for boring the player with a long intro. I mean, the game has no story after that, you would have done better to simply remove it -.-
The upgrades are pointless or unbalanced. What's the reason for more pixels or pixel magnet, when the progress is adjusted by your level anyway? It's just a waste of points you could spend for something better! Piercing and critical? 20% chance is way too low for total of 15 points, there's absolutely no reason for investing in those...
Also, the enemy that shoots arrows in 4 direction when you shoot it - you can't honestly believe a player would be able to dodge that? You can't even refister what are you shooting!

First. The plot has no point. I doubt anyone can make it past level 16. I don't know where the end of the game is, but the plot should be mentioned more than it was. You hear it at the beginning and at the end, I don't know. That brings me to the next point. Did you even try to finish the game yourself? It's a pain in the butt. By level 15 the screen fills up with enemies. Literally. You can't move without taking damage. I have tried the game since it showed up on the portal days ago. The critical and the pierce are pointless. They don't make a difference even if you get them up corectly. Both skills only work once in a blue moon, and there is no point in leveling them up. I liked the more pixels and the magnet. Same for the rapid fire and fire spread. Those helped a lot. Leveling up should automatically go the the upgrade page, because taking your hand of the control to move gets you killed in later levels GUARANTEED. You don't get enough time to go back. And if you miss the button, poof, you are screwed. The Fumes are annoying because most of the time they pop right up when you are trying to dodge an enemy, and you can't avoid it. The increase points powerup is completely useless. Who the heck wants a high score when if you power it up, you die because other things needed the power up more. The super tiny purple guys are a BIG problem. They are too small to hit properly, and there are way too many of them. You can't hit them because they just are too small. The arena lets vessels and purple guys just sneak up on you and there's nothing you can do about it. I had a few orange guys explode offscreen, and it took me awhile to figure out it was them. I thought I was just getting hit for no reason. LIVES. INCORPORATE THEM. That is the biggest problem is that you only get one life then it's over. That DOES NOT help on later levels.

You have now been granted the groveling of a few hundred ng fans who have played this game and have played it continuosly for hours on end.
Use your power wisely.

Nowah fAIR you hackzors.

SS4FlameAlchemist needs to grow a goddamn pair and realize that not every game has to pander to his baby standards of gaming. Complaining that the enemies are annoying is the point, it adds to the gaming challenge. I personally thought the enemy variety was great, and I enjoyed how I had to put some thought into levelling up my skills accordingly. The one point on which I will agree with SS4FlameAlchemist, though, is that having the update screen come up immediately would be a great help. It's tricky in later levels (past 16/17) to find the perfect moment to press the pause button, only to get reamed almost immediately when you unpause. Anyways, great game, keep up the good work.

Hey Man, I loved you game! could you please tell me what program you used to make this game? Thanks!

FlashDevelop and Photoshop.

Pixel Purge is definitely one of my favorites. Excellent game!
